Introducing the Meghan Panelled Dress: combining upcycled cotton/ cotton blend fabrics with front open asymmetric panels and inseam pockets, this sophisticated and luxurious dress is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. Fitted on chest and shoulders, the dress flares out to create a playful silhouette that is sure to turn heads. Splashed in multi colors, this unique dress is the perfect blend of luxury and quality.

The piece is Upcycled using factory waste. The fabric is collected, cleaned, panelled to create this style. Each piece may come with an extra embroidery or patch but the overall look and feel of the piece are not changed. These pieces are a part of a limited edition collection, the stock is made till the raw material is available.

This product is made in Delhi with a fair wage factory. The factory specialises in small scale production, where we can reduce waste generation and manage factory waste by upcycling scraps into patchwork fabric. Zero resources are used in material creation, processing, dyeing and finishing. Just good ol' artisanal skills to put waste to use!

THE DESIGNER STORY

Recycling has always been a deeply rooted tradition and part of our lives, be it the tradition of making Kantha quilts out of the old clothing or transforming your mother's vintage sarees into a trendy attire. We have always valued the resources we had and loved to be a part of it and felt connected to the old charm and warmth, but all that is changing. Increasing industrialization,globalization, fast fashion, and ever-growing buying power among people have popularized a culture of quick disposable fashion.

The labelDOODLAGEis a blend of sustainable and exclusive high street fashion. The brand aims to merge innovative designs with a sustainable technique of clothing to make fashion not just chic, but also Eco-friendly. The brand works at re-designing, re-constructing and recycling good quality industrial waste which majority comprises of post-production waste, deadstock and rejected shipmentsmaking sure that every product has its own identity.
